New to Rabbitflare? This is the short version of the quick start guide. Most of the time is spent waiting while the server is built, which takes about five minutes.
1. Create your account
Sign up at app.rabbitflare.com/signup with your email address (or with Google or GitHub), then click the link in the confirmation email. New accounts can start with the 3-day free trial, with no card needed.
2. Create a server
Choose Create server, then pick:
- A cloud: DigitalOcean, Vultr, Hetzner or Rabbitflare Edge. How to choose
- A location close to most of your visitors
- A plan. You can resize later, so it’s fine to start small.
Leave Install a WordPress site on this server on and fill in the site’s details. Tip: don’t use admin as the WordPress username, because it’s the first name attackers try.
3. Wait for the server
The server’s page shows each step as it happens. When it’s done, WordPress is installed with its SSL certificate, and we email you.
4. Sign in to WordPress
Open the site from Sites and choose WP Admin. Your site is already live at a free address like your-site.rabbitflare.link, so you can build it there first.
5. Connect your domain
When you’re ready, add your domain to the site and point its DNS at the server. The certificate is issued and renewed for you. Connect your domain
Worth doing on day one
- Turn on RabbitPress Cache and the free CDN
- Set up site backups
- Keep your two-factor recovery codes somewhere safe
